NWACS was contacted by Sarah Kelly, a Producer at MedBridge (located in Seattle), with an opportunity for Seattle-area clinicians and graduate students interested in AAC. MedBridge works with instructors from around the US to provide online continuing education courses to clinicians. As a part of these courses, they frequently work with members of the Seattle community to share their stories to improve future patient outcomes.
MedBridge is currently developing educational courses with two SLP instructors, Sarah Wallace and Kristy Weissling. Sarah and Kristy will be focusing on Augmentative and Alternative Communication Assessment and Intervention in Adults.
For their courses, Sarah and Kristy are hoping to have graduate students and/or clinicians who are currently working with or are interested in ALS to participate in a question and answer segment. The filming would take place on either February 13th or February 14th, 2017 (they can be flexible with participants' schedules).
According to Sarah, participants will compensated $35/hour and a $25 travel stipend. Total filming time would be 1.5 hours.
