We are excited to announce a new workshop series coming in 2017! NWACS is partnering with Seattle Children's Hospital and Provail to present AAC in Action (click to view/download flyer).
WHO: This FREE workshop series is designed for parents, family members, therapists, school staff, or anyone who interacts with children who use picture-based AAC systems.

Participants may attend unlimited workshops. Repeat attendance is encouraged!
WHAT: AAC in Action is a training program for communication partners with the goal of supporting AAC users to expand their communication skills. Participants will gain skills through video analysis, live demonstrations, and small group assignments. Each month, the overall workshop format will remain the same to invite new participants to acquire skills, as well as to help returning participants build their mastery across different communication settings. Each month's hands-on activities may change to best support the needs of the attendees. Partner training skills targeted will include using:
Aided Language Stimulation
Expectant Delay
Non-Verbal Prompts
Contingent Responding
WHEN: 2nd Sunday of the month, 6:30pm - 8:00pm January - June (January 8th, February 12th, March 12th, April 9th, May 14th, June 11th)
WHERE: Seattle Children's Hospital (4800 Sandpoint Way NE, Seattle, WA) in Room RC.3.905 NOTE: enter through the River entrance
