TOPIC: What is Comprehensive Literacy and Ideas for Literacy at Home

This discussion offers a simple overview of learning to read and write for children who use AAC. We invite parents, therapists, teachers, everyone to bring their own best literacy hacks. This means coming prepared to share your best ideas for ways parents can build literacy into daily home routines. Hint - here are a few from Marci:

• Use soap bubbles in the bathtub to draw letters.

• Read and describe signs as you are driving.

• For a child who is hesitant to use art materials, try a Squiggle Pen.
