Accessible Content for All: Options for Providing Access to Text

“In this 4-session series, participants will compare, analyze and discuss accessibility tools and strategies for all students to access education materials in their general education classrooms. These sessions will be based on “8 Tips To Make Curriculum Content Accessible”.  These classes will be structured in an interactive format with 30 minutes of content presentation followed by small group discussion and then implementation planning time.  The goal is to leave with 1 or 2 practical, ready to use strategies for each session.

Do you find reading text to be a barrier for your learners? This session will review options for using screen readers to access digital text, providing access to audio books and converting text from print to digital on the fly. We will explore different tools and strategies and discuss the pros and cons of each. (Tips 3, 4 and 5)”
