Course Description

This course identified the SLP’s role in increasing access to taboo words and concepts on clients AAC systems. We discussed the barriers to normal age relevant profanity and taboo concepts for AAC.  We also identified strategies to discuss taboo topics, increase advocacy for AAC users right to full communication in all aspects of life, and promote patient focused customization and training.
