“This course provides information on clinical implementation of an AAC device. The course addresses best practices for setting AAC goals and how to utilize an AAC device in treatment. Ideas are given for structuring occupational therapy interventions to maximize AAC implementation as well as encouraging the use of AAC at home, as an interprofessional collaborative process, and in other settings. The course addresses ways to increase success by involving communication partners.”
