Switch Access Series: Switch Accessible Coding

Learning to code using alternative access may very well lead to meaningful and fun careers for our students with disabilities. In this session we will look at a variety of toys and coding programs that can be performed with a variety of switches or other access methods. We will talk about what to look for in accessible programs and how to set-up the necessary switch control.

Learning Objectives:
1. Name one toy that can be coded using alternative access.
2. Name one program that can teach students to code using alternative access.
3. Be able to set-up switch access on an iPad in the Accessibility features and within an app.
