iPad Apps for Learners with Complex Needs

Sensory App House creators, Professor Paul Blenkhorn and Dave Stevens, have a strong understanding of disabilities and complex learning needs so the apps they develop are aimed to assist children and young people in even the smallest of ways. Their range of apps are designed for stimulation, early learning coordination, relaxation, fun, art and speech therapy. The apps can be used by therapists and educators to help younger people with visual and speech development and sensory issues. Most of them are free or available at a low cost.

In this webinar, Dave will showcase apps from each different category and highlight the key features such as switch accessible cause and effect apps. He will discuss some of the new techniques and quick ways to get apps on all the computer / tablet platforms which includes Windows, Chromebook, Android, iOS and Mac. And he will talk about the excellent Microsoft Adaptive Controller designed to create a custom controller experience using external switches, mounts and joysticks to make gaming and use of apps, accessible to all.
