Tarheel Reader and the new Tar Heel Shared Reader are two free websites from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that allow your students to engage in simple accessible books on a variety of topics, create your own books, and provide comments and core vocabulary for interaction during shared reading. These sites can be used with touchscreen, 1-3 switches, Chrome browser, and even utilized within Pictello.”
