Goal Driven Planning: Setting and Meeting Long and Short-term AAC Goals

PRC webinar

“This one-hour AAC implementation class focuses on how to make language instruction explicit, systematic, and relevant for students who use AAC. The class begins by reviewing the relationship between academic standards, curriculum, and lesson plans. It then describes the four areas of communicative competence: linguistic, operational, social, and strategic. Through case studies, the remainder and bulk of the class describes and demonstrates a monthly instructional planning tool based on the four areas of communicative competence. This tool helps make teaching more intentional while supporting the generalization of skills across educational and communication contexts. Monthly planning tool and other instructional materials provided.

This class is intended for people who educate students who use AAC in a classroom setting.”
