How to you increase engagements, literacy, and communication skills with students with complex communication needs? This session will cover what Shared Reading is for student with complex needs, the brief overview of the research supporting it, the framework for using Shared Reading, and how to implement it within a classroom setting. Demonstrations will include how to use shared reading boards both low and high tech and using these boards with a variety of communication applications. We will demonstrate how to customize and create a shared reading board based on a book.”
