"This webinar session will present strategies on how to use classroom routines and group instructional activities in inclusive settings as opportunities to facilitate positive peer social interactions and promote friendship and social skills in young children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Participants will learn how to set up the classroom environment – the physical, instructional and social environment – to enable children with ASD to develop appropriate social skills, make friends and to be effective members of a group. The session will illustrate how a variety of child-specific interventions including using video-modeling, scripted stories social narratives and prompting strategies can be used to teach targeted social skills."
