5 Sources for AAC/AT Webinars

As AAC Awareness Month comes to an end, we wanted to help you keep this positive momentum going all year long with some great free and fee-based webinar resources offering exciting topics in AAC and AT!
1. ISAAC/USAAC
USAAC/ISAAC offer great topics and notable speakers in their collection of upcoming and archived webinars. Topics include information for pediatric and adult populations; instructions for CEU credit are provided on the USAAC website.
The AAC-RERC at Penn State University offers a robust collection of webcasts from notable researchers in the field. There is an old site and a new site which both offer different webcasts on a variety of topics. In most cases, a quiz and CEU info is also provided alongside the webinar description.
3. Perkins School for the Blind
Perkins offers some awesome live and archived webinars on a range of AAC/AT topics related to supporting students with CVI and other visual impairment. They also have some wonderful communication-related resources offered elsewhere on their site and blog. Credits are available, see their site for more info.
This fee-based professional development site offers live and archived webinars on AAC and AT, including a conference series titled “AAC after Work”. Each course has a fee associated with it and some other perks and rules mentioned in more detail on the site. Their “leaders” include some notable names in the field of AAC/AT and the topics range in scope regarding population and skill level with AAC assessment and intervention. CMH’s are available as indicated with each webinar description.
The ASHA CE Store offers several fee-based online learning options for AAC topics with ASHA-approved CEU’s.
